Chico ISD, proud home of the Dragons, has a commitment to excellence.
It boasts of three campuses housing approximately 675 students. In 2005
the Elementary campuses received the academic rating of "Recognized."
The Middle School and High School were designated as a "Academically
Acceptable" campuses. The District was rated as "Academically
Acceptable".
The Elementary Campus has a total of 271 students in grades K-5. Our
teacher/pupil ratio is well below the state's average. Each classroom is
equipped with a computer that has various learning software programs
and Internet access. The addition of the new elementary computer lab,
with 25 computer stations, insures that the students have access to the
latest technology.

181 students in grades 6,7, and 8 make up the population of the Chico Middle School. These
students have many extra-curricular activities from which to choose. Volleyball, football,
basketball, cross-country and track are sports that Middle School students enjoy. The Student
Council provides opportunities for students to organize social events held at the school, and a
band program is also offered to the students at this age.
Chico High School has approximately 203 students in grades 9-12. The diversified curriculum
includes core subjects, advanced placement classes, fine arts courses, and vocational
programs. Our ladies' and men's athletic programs include volleyball, football, baseball,
softball, basketball, cross-country and track. Our athletic programs have been quite
successful and unify the community with school pride and spirit.
The parent-teacher organizations at each campus provide parents, grandparents, and
community members with the opportunity to have an active part in helping develop students
into productive citizens.
Chico ISD demonstrates the committed effort of the entire faculty and administration to
provide a quality education for all students.
